Does your child struggle with Irritable Bowel Syndrome with Diarrhea (IBS-D)?

They may be eligible for a clinical trial evaluating a medication for IBS-D.

Diarrhea is one of the symptoms often associated with irritable bowel syndrome (IBS). The key symptom of IBS is abdominal pain. The pain is associated with a change in the frequency or consistency of stool. The altered bowel habit may be chronic or recurrent diarrhea, or constipation. Some people have both diarrhea and constipation, just at different times. Bloating or distention in the abdomen is also common.

IPS Research is seeking participants for a clinical trial of an investigational medication for the treatment of IBS-D in kids. If your child has frequent diarrhea, they may be a candidate for this clinical trial.

To qualify for the study, your child must meet the following criteria:
  • Be between 12 and 17 years old
  • Have frequent episodes of diarrhea
  • Otherwise, be in relatively good health
Qualified participants may receive:
  • Study-related care and study drug at no cost
  • Compensation for time and travel
