IBS that causes increased diarrhea is often called IBS-D. If your child has IBS-D, they may experience belly pain and other IBS symptoms plus frequent bowel movements. Their stool might be loose and may experience sudden urges to use the bathroom.
IPS Research is seeking participants for a clinical trial of an investigational medication for the treatment of IBS-D in kids. If your child has frequent diarrhea, they may be a candidate for this clinical trial.
This study is evaluating an investigational medication to learn if it is safe and effective for kids who have frequent diarrhea related to IBS-D.
Your child may be eligible if he or she:
- Is 12 to 17 years old
- Has been diagnosed with IBS
- Has frequent loose stools or diarrhea
Qualified participants may receive:
- Study-related care and study drug at no cost
- Compensation for time and travel
